We are proud to work with our partners at One Health in Tunbridge Wells - where they offer an array of different services to support you on your pregnancy and postpartum journey.

This is specialist postnatal examination for women following both vaginal and C-section deliveries. It can be performed from six to eight weeks post birth or for women who gave birth many years ago. You will receive a status report on how your body is recovering post birth and will be advised on a safe return to exercise with your goals and lifestyle factors in mind.

This assessment includes:

• Full postural screen.
• Pelvic floor muscle examination, if required, including guidance on how to correctly contract and relax the pelvic floor.
• Abdominal muscle exam to check for any separation (diastasis Recti).
• Screening for bladder, bowel or sexual dysfunction.

Following the assessment you will receive:

• Education and advice tailored to you.
• Bespoke rehabilitation exercise programme.
• Written report of the findings of your assessment.

My additional training allows me to perform internal vaginal examination of the pelvic floor muscles and organs. This is a completely optional part of this appointment and will only be performed if requested and with your valid and ongoing consent throughout.
