This is a specialist examination for women during pregnancy. It can be performed following on from the 12 week scan.

This assessment includes:

• Full postural screen, including assessment and treatment of any presenting symptoms of musculoskeletal discomfort, including any hip, pelvic, coccyx or back pain.

• Screening for bladder, bowel or sexual dysfunction.

• Information regarding perineal massage and birth preparation.

• Advice on labour, and help to prepare your pelvic floor and pelvis for delivery.

• Advice on how to exercise safely during pregnancy and how to minimise tummy separation (Diastasis recti).

• Postpartum tips to help kick start your safe recovery postnatally until your 6 week Mummy MOT checkup.
